Bidadari Island will Be Revitalized with Old Batavia Concept

PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol and its subsidiary, PT. Seabreez Indonesia, is revitalizing Bidadari Island tourism site as wide as 6.35 hectares in Seribu Islands regency. This revitalization will use Old Batavia concept.

First phase revitalization will be started in early of this month and targeted to complete in December 2017

PT. Seabreez Indonesia's Bidadari Island Eco Resort General Manager, Retno Purwaningsih said, this revitalization consists of 43 cottages, one restaurant, and swimming pool.

"First phase revitalization will be started in early of this month and targeted to complete in December 2017. While for second phase will be started in January 2018," she said, Friday (9/22).

Seribu Islands Tourism Promotion Needs to Be Improved

She explained, based on Old Batavia concept, cottages will be created with Betawi, Pecinan, and Dutch architectures. Besides, many Betawi ornaments will be placed from front office to pier and buildings.

"Palang Pintu will be welcoming the guests and our restaurant will serve Betawi authentic culinary," she added.

She mentioned, this is the massive revitalization since 1980 and its budget reaches Rp 15.8 billion.

"This revitalization concept is one of our supports toward Perda No. 4/2015 about Betawi Culture Preservation," she closed.
